Kham Thieng revisited May 2014

Oh yes, one of my favorite spots to see whats happening in plant world here in Asia the Kham Tieng plant market. Its almost too good to be true. Except for the vendors which seem to not appreciate the new roads full of new shops which just sprang up with more competition, kind of like weeds. When i asked a few of the local vendors they all say sales have dropped tremendously in the last few years. So the new vendors cant really help matters without new customers to purchase all these neat plants. So on goes the drama in the world, especially retail where things never seem easy anymore.

It's a love affair

The act of creating a garden or growing up plants is not just an ordinary thing as some might assume. It's a connection to a future that you help create. As we wait and watch this all unfold it is not painful at all. In fact its so great and wonderful that all other passions seem to pale in comparison. And with all the surprise and wonder that nature offers it plain to see that its not a hobby at all, it's a love affair.
